Ken Melanson's quest for a cure
Ken was a victim of ALS. “Ken Melanson’s Quest for a Cure” has been a long time supporter of ALS TDI and their ALS research. Ken was an avid amateur pilot and would have been very enthusiastic about this venture. He was instrument rated and had training in Aerobatics.
Ken piloted a Mooney on a number of occasions. It was one of his favorite aircraft, primarily because of its powerful engine and speed.
Ken was diagnosed at age 40 and passed away at 43. He left a wife and two sons who are now 8 and 9 years of age.
We know that Ken will be looking after CarolAnn Garrett and Carol Foy as they strive for a successful record setting flight.
